The new season of the NFL has kicked off with a vengeance. We have just enough time to look at who’s hot and who’s not looking so good on the gridiron before the whistle blows, so sit back, turn on and zone out because we’re in for an exciting ride.
Minnesota Vikings Vs. Philadelphia Eagles
September is an excellent month for the NFL, and this week, viewers are treated to some stunning football starting on Friday, 15th September, with an appearance by the Minnesota Vikings, who until now have always been Super Bowl groomsmen and never the groom.
The Minnesota Vikings play the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles won last week against the New England Patriots. The Eagles have won four NFL champs and one Super Bowl, making them odds on winners for the game unless the ‘Purple People Eaters’ take Justin Jefferson off the leash, then hell will literally break loose – tune in to find out.
Super Sunday
Stop what you’re doing and drop everything. Get plenty of beer and snacks in because Sunday the 15th is mega. Starting with the Green Bay Packers vs. Atlanta Falcons.
Green Bay Packers Vs. Atlanta Falcons
The scene sets at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta for a right royal rip-up. The Packs are 1-point favs over The Stallions with -105 on the money line, while the Packers are -115. It will be a tight game with the over/under set at 41.5. Keep your eyes peeled for The Packs’ Jordan Love; with so little wiggle room, he’s the man to watch.
LA Raiders Vs. Buffalo Bills
Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, NYC, is the place to be on Super Sunday, but if you can’t get to NY, then make sure you stay tuned to watch. It’s David and Goliath Buffalo style, but if Jimmy Garoppolo can cut some turf, miracles might happen – or not!
Baltimore Ravens Vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Oh, Baltimore! The Bengals play The Ravens at Paycor Stadium on home turf. The Bengals are favorites to win. With Cincinnati -160 on the moneyline, while Baltimore is +135 – the over/under sets at 45.5; it’s anyone’s game, or is it? Not if Joe Burrow doesn’t want to lose his shirt. With everything to play for, it will be an exciting watch.
Seattle Seahawks Vs. Detroit Lions
The scene is set at the Ford Field in Detroit for Sunday’s face-off. Right now, Silver Crush is a 5.5-point favorite over The Legion of Boom. It’s going to be a tight match but an exciting one. There will be no sleep in Seattle on Sunday, especially if The Lions take it.
Indianapolis Colts Vs. Houston Texans
The NRG Stadium in Houston is home to the Texans and the scene for Sunday’s tear-up. Both teams lost their last match in week one and have something to prove. The player to watch is a Colt – Anthony Richardson. The rookie quarterback could make a difference, but both teams have everything to play for in a match between losers.
Kansas City Chiefs Vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars play in an NFL Week 2 game at the EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, and one thing is for sure: The Chiefs ain’t in Kansas now!
The KC Chiefs are a 2.5-point favorite over The Jags, but there’s everything to play for. Old rivalry and new blood hit the field to prove a point. The Jaguars are coming in with a 31-21 win against The Colts in their season opener, week one slam, with only a pair of ruby slippers to save the Chiefs; this match is vital viewing.
Chicago Bears Vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers are a 3-point favs over the Bears. The Bucks are -150 on the money line, and Chicago is +125. The over/under point total is 43.5. Holy moly, what a game this is going to be. The Bay’s defense looks hot, but The Bears are hairy, so we’re walking the plank on this one in favor of the Monsters of the Midway because they don’t just make great pizza in Chicago.
Los Angeles Chargers Vs. Tennessee Titans
Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, is home to more than the Titans, but this Sunday, the stadium will rock, and only one giant will be pronounced king. The LA Chargers are coming off a 36-34 loss against The Dolphins in their season opener, and The TTs are holding a 16-15 defeat against The Saints. With both teams flagging at the starting gate, Sunday’s game will be electric.
New York Giants Vs. Arizona Cardinals
New York Giants Vs. Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. What do you do when everyone writes you off? You fight! And this game is set to be a challenge for both sides. The Giants look favorite in this clash of the bulk; while dark blue, red, and gray may not be your favorite colors, it’s the bookie’s choice. Tune in for some hefty action.
San Francisco 49ers Vs. Los Angeles Rams
The San Fran 49ers and LA Rams play their week two match on Sunday at the SoFi Stadium in California. The Golden State hosts two homegrown teams with totally different play styles. Both are winners.
The San Fran 49ers are coming in with a 30-7 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and The LA Rams are 30-13 winners against The Seahawks in the week one opener. The sun might shine all day, but will it illuminate the 49ers? You will have to watch to find out.
The Best of the Rest
The NY Jets Vs. The Dallas Cowboys is a rodeo no one should miss. The Washington Commanders Vs. Denver Broncos is a symphony in burgundy, gold, black, and white. Just ask Major Tuddy how they plan to end Super Sunday on top – maybe. Maybe not!
Monday 18th September is Miami Dolphins Vs. New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium, definitely no fishy business here.
Tuesday’s child is full of grace, but not if The New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers have anything to do with it. The New Orleans Saints will make light work of the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte – splash the cash and tune in to this one as Derek Carr makes mincemeat of the Homeland Defense.
Finally, for week 2, feast your eyes on Cleveland Browns Vs. Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium, home turf for The Steelers, but will it be enough? The Browns are coming off a 24-3 win in week 1, while The Black and Gold lost against the 49ers. The smart money is on the home team but never say never when The Browns are involved.
