Last week, Super Sunday saw some surprising (and some not-so-surprising) results. The Eagles beat the Vikings; and The Falcons beat The Packers. The Bills trounced The Raiders 38-10, and The Cowboys had a nice win over The Jets.

With all to play for in week 3, let’s see who is meeting who on the touchline.

We are starting with The New York Giants vs. The San Francisco 49ers at Levi Stadium.

New York Giants vs. San Francisco 49ers

These two bad boys haven’t met since September 2020, when the 49ers won 36-9. The San Fran 49ers beat The Rams in week 2 with a comfortable margin, but how do they look against the NYGs? As of today, the New York Giants are 21st in the NFL odds to win the Super Bowl, so not bad, but also not great!

The Giants are starting Daniel Jones as QB, while the Red and Gold will play Brandon Allen. Here’s the crunch line. The NY Giants have a record of 4-4 vs. the 49ers in the playoffs, so it’s even Stevens for Shanahan or Brian. Only watching the match will give you an authentic feel for the game.

Super Sunday – Week 3 Comes Alive

When Super Sunday comes around, all you need is a comfortable chair, some great beer snacks, and an outstanding schedule – don’t make any plans because it’s just you and your streaming service. Add some friends if you like; otherwise, it’s all eyes on the prize until Monday.

New Orleans Saints vs. Green Bay Packers

August 2022 saw The Bays beat The Saints by 20-10. This rematch will be a tight call as The Green Bays barely beat The Ravens last week, with just 1 point, while the Saints haven’t had much of a break since they laid waste to The Panthers – but you know what they say, no rest for the wicked and The New Orleans Saints are NO saints.

New England Patriots vs. New York Jets

The MetLife Stadium hosts The New England Patriots vs. New York Jets for what will be an exciting match. These two teams met back in November 2022, and the Patriots made the Jets declare allegiance with a 10-3 win. Week 2 saw The Patriots lose against The Dolphins, while The Jets lost against the Cowboys.

Week 3 will see a return to form for the Patriots, or will it? One thing is for sure: neither side will take any prisoners.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Indianapolis Colts face off against The Baltimore Ravens at the M&T Bank Stadium. The last time these two met was in October 2021, and a lot has happened between them since then. Week 2 saw a 27-24 win for The Ravens, while The Colts slammed The Houston Texans, and no amount of hot sauce could save them.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Detroit Lions

In August 2022, The Atlanta Falcons met The Detroit Lions, and the score was 27-23 to The Falcons. The birds of prey barely beat the 49ers in week 2, and The Lions lost to The Seahawks.

What will week 3 bring to either team? Atlanta’s current odds of winning the Super Bowl place them 16th in the league, and The Lions have a 5.6% chance of winning the Super B LVIII.

It’s anyone’s game, with all to play for, but can a bird kill a lion? We would guess not; only time will tell.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings laid waste to the Los Angeles Chargers in 2021, so a rematch is overdue. The Vikings are ranked 19th in the league as of week 2. In terms of just qualifying for the playoffs, they are +265. In their most recent outing, the Vikings picked up a 34-28 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The LA Chargers need some volts up their behind to return from their 24-27 loss in week 2 to The Titans. LA might have been good for the girl, but its odds for Super Bowl LVIII are appalling.

Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville hosts The Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars showdown. The last time these teams met, in January this year, The Jags trounced The Texans, running away with a 31-3. Week 2 could have been better for The Jacksonville Jaguars as they lost to the Chiefs 9-17.

Week 2 saw The Houston Texans losing to The Colts, so Super Sunday needs to sprinkle some magic on these lackluster teams, or the home fans might go home disappointed.

Denver Broncos vs. Miami Dolphins

The Hard Rock Stadium is home to some delicious surf and turf on Super Sunday. The last time these two teams met on the menu was November 2022, when the Broncos grilled The Dolphins 20-13.

Interestingly, The Dolphins beat The Patriots in week 2, while The Broncos lost to The Commanders 35-33. The Dolphins have the second most challenging road schedule behind The New England Patriots, but this doesn’t mean Flipper has less of a chance on the road to the Super Bowl because more time on the bus means extra schooling.

As for The Broncos, they are 17th in the NFL in terms of odds of winning the Super Bowl, so the buck stops somewhere, and it’s that somewhere that could change the odds.

Tennessee Titans vs. Cleveland Browns

The Browns play at home at the aptly named Cleveland Browns Stadium. They last met in December 2020, when the Browns won 41-35. Last week, The Browns lost to The Steelers. After coming out on top in seven games in 2023, The Titans are looking at an over/under of 7.5 victories so far, making them 27th in the league in terms of winning the Super Bowl.

Will it be the Clash of the Titans or a hash-up? Who knows, but one thing is for sure: if you’re not in it, you can’t see who will win it.

Week 3: The Best of the Rest

With an additional seven matches to watch, taking you through to tantalizing Tuesday, here’s the best of the rest…

Buffalo Bills vs. Washington Commanders

Carolina Panthers vs. Seattle Seahawks

Chicago Bears vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Dallas Cowboys vs. Arizona Cardinals

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Las Vegas Raiders – Monday

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Tuesday

Last but not least, The Los Angeles Rams vs. Cincinnati Bengals. The NFL is dishing out some bangers, so make sure you feast your eyes on these beauties so you are ready for Week 4.
